·         Vary sentence length and structure without making prose confusing.

·         Improve transitions and logical connections between sentences and paragraphs.

·         Distinguish revision (rethinking meaning and organization) from editing and proofreading (correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency).

·         Edit your own academic, professional, or creative writing with a repeatable checklist.
